MEET TAD
Let me tell you how I got the job. First, I am an amphibian and the most handsome of all. The word “amphibian” is derived from the Greek word “amphi” which means “two”, “both”, or “two-fold” in nature. Amphibians are considered to be the “canary in the coal mine” for environmental damage. My health is closely linked to the health of the environment. I am very sensitive to pollution because I live at the intersection of two environments – land and water- and I easily absorb pollutants through my skin. I am also sensitive and vulnerable to factors such as disease, toxicity, radiation, and habitat destruction. Because of this, we frogs are good indicators of significant environmental changes that may go initially undetected by you humans. We breathe partially through our skin and then release most of the excess carbon dioxide. I need clean water and my skin must stay wet: you could say I’m slick. I am Tad, American Pride’s trademark and symbol for water conservation and water quality. Join our team, keep your car clean, and keep the environment green. Use American Pride. ![]() |
